Handicraft is a specific kind of activity done at home but has nothing to do with housework and it provides income to those involved. - Handicraft is done in a house or an apartment.
- It includes manufacturing, finishing and servicing with prevailing handiwork.
- The predominant activities within handicraft are care for the old and the sick, making souvenirs, toys and pieces of clothing made of textile or wool, manufacturing knitted artefacts of brushwood, manufacturing brushwood, making gateau and cakes, and the like.
- Any citizen can be involved in handicraft without limitations provided that the activity is registered with the City Administration Service.
- Handicraft can be done independently or in cooperation.
Carrying out handicraft Pursuant to the Book of Rules on Art-craft and Handicraft (Official Gazette, issue No. 44/02) and the Book of Rules on Activities Not Requiring Office Space (Official Gazette, issue No. 49/02), in order to get an approval to carry out handicraft the form ASBL-OB-02/05 has to be completed. Registration of Handicraft The City Administration (Room 16): - Fill out a Request to be granted approval to carry out an activity based on the Law on Craft and Entrepreneurial Activities;
- Enclosed to the Request there should be:
- Certified photocopy of ID;
- City administrative fee amounting to KM 40 paid.
You may take over the form here. In the Tax Administration: - Go to the Tax Administration with a certified photocopy of the Decision of the City Administration and certified photocopy of ID.
- Complete the PR-2 Form (Entrepreneur Registration Application Form).
- There are two possibilities of paying tax:
- KM 50 monthly – if you are registered as a small entrepreneur (it is necessary to complete the Form 1001– Request for deduction of tax base);
- 2% of the total annual income (minimum KM 600).

In order to open a gyro-account in a bank you will need the following: 1. Certified photocopy of the Decision; 2. Certified photocopy of unique identification number (JIB); 3. Certified photocopy of ID; 4. Photocopy of the certificate on place of residence from CIPS.
