Intereg IPA cross-border cooperation program Croatia-Bosnia and Herzegovina-Montenegro is implemented in the financial period 2014-2020 within the IPA 2. Namely, bilateral IPA programs Bosnia and Herzegovina-Croatia and Croatia-Montenegro established for the period 2007-2013 . years were not continued as separate, but one program was established that unites cross-border cooperation of all three countries.

The general goal of the Program is to strengthen the socio-economic development of the program area through interventions in the areas of health and social protection, environment and nature protection, risk prevention, sustainable energy and development of sustainable tourism and business environment.

Thematic Priorities of the new Program selected by the Programming Working Group based on the situational analysis of the program area and the conducted public consultations are the following:

Thematic priority 1 – Improving the quality of social and health services in the program area.

Thematic priority 2 – Protection of the environment and biodiversity, improvement of risk prevention and promotion of sustainable energy and energy efficiency.

Thematic priority 4 – Contributing to the development of tourism and preservation of cultural and natural heritage.

Thematic priority 7 – Strengthening the competitiveness and development of the business environment in the program area.

In Montenegro – 10 municipalities: Herceg Novi, Kotor, Tivat, Budva, Bar, Ulcinj, Cetinje, Danilovgrad, Podgorica and Niksic.

The partner countries have jointly decided that the official documents of the Intereg IPA Cross-border Cooperation Program Croatia-Bosnia and Herzegovina-Montenegro 2014-2020 are drafted and adopted in English.

Funds available: EUR 57.15 million (EUR 28.8 million from the ERDF – European Regional Development Fund and EUR 28.8 million from the IPA – Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance + national co-financing = a total of EUR 67.24 million .
